Rockhampton’s Ultimate High School Esports Showdown as it happened
On 26 and 27 July, CQUniversity Rockhampton was transformed into a high-energy esports arena as over 50 high school competitors from across the Central Region competed in a two-day tournament packed with action, strategy, and unforgettable moments.
Proudly delivered by QUT and supported by the Australian Department of Social Services, Queensland Government, Queenslanders with Disability Network, Headspace, NBN, Rockhampton Regional Council, MSI and the Chiefs Esports Club. This milestone event gave young players the ultimate platform to experience and level up in the world of competitive gaming.

Parent and Stakeholder show matches offered a unique opportunity for families, educators, and community leaders to step into the players’ world — building understanding, breaking down generational barriers, and showcasing the enjoyment, teamwork and communication skills at the heart of esports.
