Launch: EsportsAble Academy
Transforming your game play
Today marks the launch of The EsportsAble Academy. The aim of the Academy is to support regional Queensland high school students to learn about esports and to provide a safe and inclusive community for teens to connect with other gamers.
Funded by the Department of Social Services, Queensland University of Technology (QUT) will run a series of six high school esports tournaments in Toowoomba, Mt Isa, Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville, and Cairns. Winners of the local tournaments will receive an all-expenses paid trip to Brisbane to compete in the first QLD State High School Championship.
