INFORMATION PRIVACY POLICY

EsportsAble is committed to protecting the personal information of all participants, in line with QUT’s Information Privacy Policy. Personal data collected during the project may include names, contact details, gaming preferences, and other relevant information needed to support participants and deliver the project effectively.

QUT takes privacy seriously and follows strict protocols to ensure data security. Personal information is only collected when necessary for project activities, such as event registration, mentoring, and training sessions. Participants are always informed about why their information is being collected and how it will be used. Access to this information is restricted to authorised personnel only, who are trained to handle data with care and confidentiality.

The information collected is stored securely, protected against unauthorised access, and not shared with third parties unless legally required or expressly consented to by the participant or their guardian. Participants also have the right to access their personal information and request corrections if they believe the information is inaccurate or outdated.

Throughout the project, QUT is committed to ensuring that privacy practices align with legal obligations and ethical standards. Regular training and monitoring help maintain compliance, and privacy risks are assessed and managed proactively. By participating in EsportsAble, young people and their families can be confident that their personal information is safeguarded.
